I’m a Canberra based food writer and qualified chef with a passion for food sovereignty and sustainability.

I love discovering more about the world through travel and making meaningful connections with people, preferably over a plate of food. I’ve worked as a chef for over a decade, promoting local, seasonal cooking. I’m currently on a journey to understand more about food systems in Australia by learning from women working across the food and beverage industries.

It’s a project I’ve been calling my Chefs Gap Year, and I’m currently writing a book about the whole experience.

My writing focusses on food, travel and the hospitality industry as well as personal essays and long form non-fiction. I am a regular staff contributor for Region Media.
